Cross Country Skiing Update - 1/25/21
Who's excited about the recent snowfall? We are! Hillcrest received enough snow to open the classic track for the first time in two years.
The cross country skiing course is currently open, although it may close temporarily during snow days to give our team time to re-groom the course. When open, the course is skiable between 8am to dark every day, weather permitting.
For cross country updates, please call (970) 259-0424
All skiers must stay on the track at all times to prevent damage to the turf beneath the snow. Please do not create your own trail! The course is specifically designed to avoid the greens and minimize damage to the golf course. Snowshoers are permitted, but they should remain on the outside of the track. Fat bikes or sledding is prohibited.
The trails are free for public use, but donations are greatly appreciated!
ANIMALS AND ALL OTHER WINTER ACTIVITY ARE PROHIBITED ON THE GOLF COURSE AT ALL TIMES

CORONA VIRUS (COVID-19) RESOURCES
In addition to the general guidance on protecting oneself from COVID-19 exposure, Hillcrest Golf Club has been actively working with State and Local Public Health officials and implementing recommended measures to help minimize the risk to the Durango community, to our employees, and to our guests.
Practice Healthy Actions
Practicing everyday healthy actions can help limit the spread of the COVID-19 and protect you from getting any respiratory illness. The CDC recommends:
- Washing your hands regularly for 20 seconds using hot, soapy water, using an alcohol-based disinfectant gel when hand washing in not available.
- Keeping unwashed hands away from the face.
- Staying home from work when you have a fever, persistent cough, or respiratory distress.
- Covering your face when you sneeze or cough with a tissue or with your elbow or shoulder when tissues aren't available.
