If you’re undecided about whether to buy a season pass, punch pass, or pay daily greens fees every time you golf, you may be interested to know more about the value of the passes at Hillcrest. It doesn’t take long for a full pass to pay for itself: playing just 16, 18-hole rounds or 28 9-hole rounds will get you there.* Considering that Hillcrest is typically open 8 months of the year, that means you only have to play two 18 hole rounds a month to break even. Play more than that, and you “beat the house!”
*Calculated based on prime time summer rates (open to noon between May 13 to September 25)
How Many Rounds does the Average Passholder Play?
In fact, 2021 passholders averaged 38 rounds per person. At 2022 pass rate of $800, that equates to $24.23 per round (including trail fees).
What are the Pass Options at Hillcrest?
Not everyone wants to play at prime time, though, which is why we have the Afternoon and Twilight passes. These passes limit play to after noon or after 3 pm, but they’re worth it if you only play after work. You can always pay greens fees to play prime time on the weekend, if you wanted. Punch passes are a good value for those who think they may not play more than 10 9-hole rounds in a season, too.
